Website design is an integral part of the website. The design is the “face” of your business and it makes the users who enter it whether to stay or leave it in a few seconds. That is why it is important that you understand deeply about this topic and know the differences between custom design and ready-made design with templates before you choose a website design template.
What is important to put before designing a WordPress site?
Site characterization – when designing a WordPress site, it is important to have a site characterization that includes the type of site, whether it is an image site, a mini site, a landing page or even ecommerce. The characterization includes the site’s operating system, the home pictures which can be changed or not, design colors, the size of the pictures, the size of the text, as well as the site tabs menu which is located on the right or left side of the site. Using this characterization, the structure of the site can be mapped from the initial stage to the final stage of the site, as well as follow each and every stage.
Three approaches to designing a WordPress site:
There are several methods for designing WordPress websites, the choice of method is according to the needs of the business and its budget.
1. Website design based on a WordPress template – with this method, the website design is done using a selected base template, which appears with plugins and is ready for design. The offer of templates is rich and varied, but not every template is suitable for your website. There are quite a few design templates in different languages and different designs that are not suitable for business use. Also, website design in a basic template is suitable for businesses that are interested in image websites and have a low marketing budget. The cost of this template is between NIS 2,000-4,000. Mostly small and start-up or medium-sized businesses like to use it and save on expenses.
- WordPress website design based on custom open templates – this design includes a variety of templates that are open to the designer from which he chooses the appropriate template for the business design, with this design you can edit and design different areas that were closed to users within a template until today. This template significantly reduces expenses and even lowers the price of its development. In addition, these templates look more professional than website design based on a WordPress base template. The business owner receives a designed website that includes a customized and personal design at a reasonable price of NIS 3,000-5,000.
- Customized website design – in this website design, the designer designs the website according to the needs of the business, so that there is no basic template as in the previous methods, the designer creates a suitable template for the business that differentiates it from the other competitors. Custom-made templates are usually more expensive than ready-made templates, so their price starts from NIS 6,000 and up. In addition to this, the design of these templates is suitable for image websites both in terms of business needs perfectly, which makes the website prestigious and in relation to other websites.
How do you know which design is right?
To know which website is suitable for a business, you need to start with the needs of the business. There are small businesses and startups that don’t need fancy websites and simple websites are enough for them where they can reach their customers and convey their message. In addition to this, the budget of these businesses is low so that WordPress design in a basic template is suitable for them. But if you are a large and well-known business with a high budget and an impressive and prestigious website is important to you, a customized website design will suit you very well and differentiate you from your competitors.
